My number one rule when it comes to wedding photography is that it needs to be about you.

Sometimes it feels like we've lost the plot when it comes to weddings. Trends change fast and somehow the list of things you're supposed to do keeps getting longer. I don't think your wedding needs to be a performance.

Give me the moment you see your college best friend for the first time in years. Your dad losing it during the vows. That Shakira remix dropping on the dance floor. I want to make simple, damn good photos of the things that actually happened.

At the end of the day, it's about who you spend your one spin on this giant rock with. Not what's trending on social media.

I photograph weddings because they are a microcosm of life's two most important experiences: to love and be loved. There is nothing like the feeling of community experienced on a wedding day. I leave every wedding with a lump of gratitude in my throat, 5 new friends and a new stand-in mom. From getting ready with friends blasting Charli xcx, to secretly sobbing during vows, I meet every moment with with a heart full of excitement for my couples and all thats to come for them.
